Proceeds to benefit the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County, its mission and Healthy Families, Healthy Futures community outreach projects.

This fun event is for participants of all ages! The computer-timed, winding 5K Run/Walk course
features two loops thru Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo with a loop around the entirety of Beardsley
Park.

Our un-timed, noncompetitive and open-to-all-abilities 1.5K Wellness Walk returns again this year, along with many other Sunday Funday surprises!

Whether you choose to run or walk, you’ll see the best the Beardsley Zoo has to offer, including tigers, prairie dogs, anteaters and exotic birds. Both the 5K and the 1.5K courses take you through the zoo and finish near the historic carousel.

Food, drinks, entertainment and more await at the finish line at our Post Race Party, then please stay and enjoy a day of family-friendly fun as guests at the zoo once the race festivities are done!

Keep us posted on your training progress and share photos on race day using our race hashtag
#JLEFC5K

Can’t run this year but still want to participate and donate to the JLEFC? Join in on our
VIRTUAL RACE! Run or walk from any location you choose! You can run, jog, or walk on the
road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to
run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Keep us posted on your virtual run by using our virtual run hashtag #away5k.

Back by popular demand, our FREE KIDS FUN RUN will happen before the 5K! Offering a
noncompetitive, 1/4 mile race for kids 6th grade and younger – weather permitting! Please
note commemorative shirts will be given out only to children who have purchased a run or walk
ticket.

*A commemorative shirt will be given to all entrants (sizes are guaranteed if you register by
April 1, and will be supplied after that time if available)

*Your 5k RUN will be computer-timed

*Bring a group of 10 or more for special pricing. Contact Jennifer Mulligan for details.

*Plenty of parking will be available in lots and designated areas. We ask you to be respectful
