Help us advance literacy by supporting one of our signature projects – our partnership with United Way and Read to Grow allows us to provides books to at-risk children in our community. Since its inception in 2010, Leaguers Building Readers has collected and distributed tens of thousands of books.

Participate by donating your gently used books, purchasing new books and conducting book drives at work, local stores or at a dinner or child’s party.

Healthy Families 5K Run/Walk

We held our inaugural Healthy Families 5K Run/Walk fundraiser at Beardsley Park in November of 2014.  Funds raised at this event help support the mission of our League and our community outreach projects. The fifth annual Run/Walk will be held in Spring of 2019.

Volunteer-a-thon

Join us in October 2018 for our first annual Volunteer-a-thon!

Together with our community partners and friends (and to complement our Healthy Families 5K) we are excited to launch our first-ever volunteer “marathon” with 26.2 hours straight of volunteering throughout our community.

Interested in joining a team of volunteers? Have a “done in a day” project in mind that needs extra hands? Please send us a note at jlefc@snet.net – we look forward to volunteering with you!
