For many years, The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County has provided meals on the first Saturday of each month during the League year for Operation Hope; a safe, healing shelter for homeless families. In addition to providing these meals, the League has also created the Pantry Recipe Booklet featuring ingredients commonly found in the pantry and staples from the grocery store which is available for the Operation Hope Pantry's customers. Members of the League gathered to create some of these dishes for Operation Hope to stock its freezer case. For more information on Operation Hope, how you can help and directions to all their facilities please visit their website http://www.operationhopect.org/ The entire meal should serve 50 people and consist of: 2 Main courses 2 Starches - bread, pasta, rice, potatoes
2 Salads / Vegetables
2 Desserts Note: If you have a large committee drinks are appreciated.
Food should be fully cooked and ready to serve and should be dropped off at Operation Hope no later than 4:30pm on the designated day. Food may be dropped off earlier, but should be labeled that it is for the evening meal. Operation Hope is located at 50 Nichols Street in Fairfield, behind the Police Station on Reef Road. Their phone number is 254-2935.
